Posted Date: 10/07/2015

Mrs. Jamison’s 3rd graders organized a Pint-Sized Hero Blood Drive on October 5th. Students recruited donors, called donors to remind them of their appointment, greeted donors, worked the registration and snack tables, and were able to observe the blood donation process. Many of the students have committed to trying to donate when they are 16 with parent’s permission or organizing a blood drive when they are adults. This class is learning all about the Oklahoma Standard—Honor, Service, Kindness—and in the process got 32 units of blood potentially saving 96 lives. THAT is the stuff that Superheroes can do!
